Ahmadreza (Reza) Masrour is the General Partner of Yar Ventures. A repeat entrepreneur and investor with 15+ years of experience, he previously scaled a telecommunications company to $90M+ in revenue before exit and co-founded DMOND Innovation Group, a $5M accelerator fund backing 31 startups with multiple exits. He has held senior investment roles at Plug and Play and Amidi Group and is the co-founder of the Persian Tech Network.
Beyond work, he is a husband and father of two who enjoys long walks, volleyball, and playing Shelem.
Dr. Yahya Tabesh is a Partner at Yar Ventures, contributing deep academic rigor and applied AI expertise to the firm’s research-driven strategy. He is a Senior Research Fellow at UC Berkeley and has held academic roles at Stanford University and Sharif University of Technology. His work in AI-based cognitive learning led to the creation of Polyup, an interactive learning platform he co-founded.
An Erdős International Award recipient, Dr. Tabesh has co-founded seven technology startups and recently worked with Google’s Gemini team on training large language models for mathematical reasoning.
Outside of work, he enjoys watching films, playing Shelem to explore and test game theory strategies in real life and reading Persian poetry.
